Let us say son’s current age is X.

Man’s current age= Y

Y= 24+X (call this A)

After 2 years:

Man’s age will Y+2=

Son’s age= X+2

As per the statement given, Y+2= 2(x+2)

So,Y= 2X+4–2

Y= 2X+2 (lets call this B)

So, Y= 24+X (as per A) = 2X+2 ( as per B)

That is, 24= 2X+2-X

24= X+2

X= 24–2=22 yrs

So Son’s current age is 22 years. Father’s current age is 46 ( 22+24). After 2 years, father will be 48 and Son will be 24 years, so father will be twice the age of his son (24×2= 48)
