Biological term for it is salivation.

His dogs medulla ( part of hind brain ) doesn't respond to this stimuli i.e.  pickle in the same way as ritesh because he loves it but his dog don't thus salivation doesn't occurs.

His friends are unscientific , and unconcerned .
