Step-by-step explanation:

See, we know that a:b = 4:5

a/b = 4/5

we have to find 5a+b/5a-b

if we divide each term by b we will get

5a/b + b/b/ 5a/b - b/b

= 5× 4/5 + 1 / 5× 4/5 - 1 ( we know a/b = 4/5)

= 5/ 3

similarly all can b done..

divide numerator and denominator by x or y..so that either of x or y gets cancelled..and u will get a ratio left..so u can easily multiply
