A human sperm cell is microscopic. It plays an essential role in human reproduction. It houses 23 pairs of chromosomes, both X and Y. The sperm cell plays an important role in the sex determination of a baby.

It looks like an egg with tail. The 'tail' is called the flagellum of the sperm and each sperm has only one flagellum. It's the third part of the sperm along with the head, middle piece and the tail.

The Head: It houses the acrosome, centriole, and the nucleus. The acrosome is produced by Golgi Apparatus and contains powerful enzymes, along with lysosomal enzymes needed to penetrate the outer layer of the egg cell.

The Middle piece: It contains the mitochondria essential for the sperm's energy.

The Tail piece: It helps in the locomotion of the sperm cell. After all, the first one to reach the egg cell, succeeds in fertilizing the egg.

Mark it as the brainliest!
