SOLUTION:-

( - 3) {}^{2m + 1}    \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

We have to find the value of x

Here If you observe In LHS It is in form of

a {}^{m}  \times a {}^{n}

As we know the exponent laws

a {}^{m}  \times a {}^{n}  = a {}^{m + n}

Since,

( - 3) {}^{2m + 1}  \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{2m + 1 + 3}

 = ( - 3) {}^{2m + 4}

So,

( - 3) {}^{2m + 1}  \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{2m + 4}

So,

( - 3) {}^{2m + 4}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

As we know that from exponent and laws

If bases are same then powers should be same So,

2m + 4 = 12

2m = 12 - 4

2m = 8

m = 8 \div 2

m = 4

So, the value of m is 4

Used formulae:-

a {}^{m}  \times a {}^{n}  = a {}^{m + n}

If bases are same then powers should be same

Verification:-

Substitute value of m it shoulf be equal to LHS and RHS

m = 4

( - 3) {}^{2m + 1}    \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

( - 3) {}^{2(4) + 1}    \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

( - 3) {}^{8 + 1}    \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

( - 3) {}^{9}    \times ( - 3) {}^{3}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

(-3){}^{9+3} = ( - 3) {}^{12}

 ( - 3) {}^{12}  = ( - 3) {}^{12}

Hence verified!
