Pls answer this..
Calculate the amount of heat given out while 400 g of water at 30 °C is cooled and converted into ice at -2 °C. Specific heat capacity of water = 4200 J/kg K Specific heat capacity of ice = 2100 J/ kg K Specific latent heat of fusion of ice = 336000 J/kg.

Heat released by water to come at 0°C

=msdt=(400) (4.2) (30)

Heat released by water at 0°C to convert into ice at 0°C=mL=(400) (336)

Heat released by ice at 0°C to come at -2°C=msdt=(400)(2.1)(2)

Add them up and u will get the answer.
