Effective resistance,

5  +   {( \frac{1}{5} +  \frac{1}{10}  )}^{ - 1}   =  \frac{25}{3}

Current,

V=IR

5 = i \times  \frac{25}{3}  \\ i =  \frac{3}{5}  = 0.6 \: ampere

I = 0.6A

P.D. between A and B,

V = IR

v = 0.6 \times  \frac{10}{3}  = 2v

P.D. = 2V
