Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay was a famous Bengali writer. He was born on 12th September, 1894.He secured his early education at Bangaon high school and intermediate graduation from Ripon College, now known as Surendranath College of Kolkata. He first worked as a headmaster at Jangipara high school and later at Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution. He wrote some of the family so bovels such as the Pather Panchali, Aparajito, Aranyak, Debjan, Chander Pahar, Icchamati, etc. Unfortunately, he died on 1st November, 1950.
