given

mass of trolley (m) = 100kg

speed of trolley (u) = 2.5m/s

deccaterating force (F) = -125N

time (t) = 0.8 sec

F = m (v-u)/t

-125 = 100 (v-2.5)/0.8

-125×0.8 = 100(v-2.5)

-100 = 100 (v-2.5)

-1 = v-2.5

v = 1.5m/s

Mass of trolley (m) =  100kg

Speed of trolley (u) = 2.5m/s

Opposed force (F) =  -125N(negative since it is opposing)

Time (t) = 0.8 sec

Deceleration= opposed force/ mass = -125/100= -1.25ms^-2

We know

v = u + at

v(new velocity) = 1.5 + (-1.25)(0.8)

                           = 2.5 - 1 = 1.5m/s
