1) If light bulbs are connected in parallel to a voltage source, the brightness of the individual bulbs remains more-or-less constant as more and more bulbs are added to the “ladder”. The current increases as more bulbs are added to the circuit and the overall resistance decreases.
2) When you plug in that second bulb, both will get equally dim, because you have added more resistance to your circuit, which decreases the flow of current. Adding another light bulb in series decreases the current because our battery now has more work to do!
