one method is by substituting m and n in the equation and equate LHS and RHS

another process is finding LHS as m^2 + n^2 is cos^2 alpha /cos^2 beta × sin^2 beta

then multiplying that with cos^2 beta gives

cos ^2 alpha /sin^2 beta that is n^2

from given data above statement holds
