See when connected in series the current will become twice

such that i1=2 i2

Whike connecting in parallel will keep the current flowing will remain the same ie i1=i3

now following these norms we will evaluate the equation

lwts take i1 as x then i3wil also be x

while i2 will be wx

Lhs=3 i3 i2

=3*x*2x

=6x^2

Rhs=2 i1(i2+i3)

=2x(2x+x)

=2x*3x

=6x^2

Lhs =RHS

Hence proved

Hope it helps you mate.
