Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

to find the value of :

8a^3 - 27b^3 - 90ab + 125 , if,

2a-3b=-5

Solution :

We know that,

(a-b)^3 = a^3 -b^3-3ab(a-b)

Substituting,

8a instead of a & -3b instead of b,

We get,

(2a - 3b)^3 = (2a)^3 - (3b)^3-3(2a)(3b)(2a-3b)

8a^3 - 27b^3 - 18ab(2a - 3b)

8a^3 - 27b^3 - 18ab(5)

8a^3 - 27b^3 - 90ab

as,

2a-3b=-5

(2a-3b)^3=(-5)^3

(2a-3b)^3 = -125

8a^3-27b^3-90ab=-125

8a^3 - 27b^3 - 90ab + 125=0
