1) 2x²-4x+3=0

on comparing this eq with standard form of quadratic equation ax²+bx+c =0

we get ,

a= 2 ,b = -4 and c= 3

D= b²-4ac = 16- 24 = -8

x= -b+-√D/2a = 4+- √-8/ 4

2) kx(x-2)+6 =0

kx²-2kx+6 =0

on comparing this eq with standard form of quadratic equation ax²+bx+c =0

we get ,

a= k ,b = -2k and c= 6

for real and equal roots

D=0

D= b²-4ac = 4k² -14k=0

4k²=24k

4k = 24

k=6

3) a¹⁷ = a+16d = p+ 16q

4) a= 2 , d= 3 and An = 59

An = a+(n-1)d = 2+(n-1)3

59 = 2+ 3n -3

59 -2+3 =3n

60 = 3n

n= 20

hence the no of term is 20

9) tanA = 3/4

sec²A -tan²A =1

sec²A = 1+ 9/16 = 16+9/16 = 25/16

sec²A = 25/16

secA = 5/4

cosA = 1/secA = 4/5

10) tan²60-sin²30/tan²45+cos²30

=> 3- 1/4 / 1+ 3/4

=> 12-1/4 / 12+3/4

= 11/15
