To Find:

Price of 46 kg Sweet

Solution:

Step 1:

Convert Mixed fraction 11 1/2   in improper fraction

11 1/2  = (11 x 2 + 1)/2  =  23/2  

Step 2:

Find cost of 1 kg sweet

23/2   kg sweet costs  = Rs 100

1   kg sweet costs  =  100/ (23/2)

1   kg sweet costs  =  200/ 23  Rs

Step 3:

Find cost of 46 kg sweet

1   kg sweet costs  =  200/ 23  Rs

46   kg sweet costs  = 46 x  200/ 23  Rs

46   kg sweet costs  = 2 x  200   Rs

46   kg sweet costs  = 400   Rs
