then

Rohan is-7 times of Sonam age

y=7x--------(1) eqn

two years ago

Rohan age=y-2 ,and Sonam age=x-2

Rohan is-13times of Sonam age

y-2=13(x-2)-------(2)eqn

by subtract eqn (1) &(2)

y-(y-2)=7x-13(x-2)

2=7x-13x+26

2=-6x+26

6x=24

x=4(Sonam present age)

by eqn (1)

y=7x=7*4=28(Rohan present age)

age of sonam = x - 2

age of rohan = 7x - 2

so according to condn ...

13 (x-2) = (7x -2)

13x - 26 = 7x -2

13× - 7× = 26 - 2

6 × = 24

x = 24/6

× = 4

therefore ...

age of sonam = x = 4 years

age of rohan = 7x = 7 × 4 = 28years
