To find which has smaller area...we must find both the areas and compare.

Rectangle Area = ( l × b ) = ( 20 × 15 ) = 300cm²

Square Area = ( side² ) = 22 × 22 = 484cm²

Square's Area is larger than that of rectangle.

So,

Rectangle has smaller area.

therefore we can see that the area of the square is greater than the area of rectangle so rectangle has a smaller area
