The “rural push” factors such as a decline in income from agriculture, lack of alternative jobs declining local economy, and denied access to basic facilities, further encourage people to move to cities. This often crystallizes into violence and conflicts and often protests against the government.
3. It is found that poverty, job search, landlessness, homelessness, various natural disaster are the main push factors for rural out-migration, while easy access to informal sectors and slum areas, higher-income probability, better service facilities are the main pull factors behind migration.
