We know the side opposite to longer angle is longer side and the side which is opposite to smaller angle is smaller..

Then AO>BO and OD>OC

$\sf \ AO>BO ..... .......(i)\\ \sf OD >OC.......(ii)\\ \sf Add\: equation\: (i) and (ii)\\ \sf AO+OD>BO+OC\\ \sf AD>BC$
