Given :-

angle ACB = angle CDA

AC = 6cm

AD = 3cm

AB = ?

in ∆ ACB and ∆CDA

angle ACB = angle CDA [Given]

angle CAB = CAB. [ common]

by AA similarity criteria

∆ ACB is similar to ∆ADC

so

AC/AD = BC/CD = AB/AC

by using this

AC/AD = AB/AC

AB = AC²/AD. [put the given values]

AB = 6²/3 = 36/3 = 12

AB = 12cm
