If the radius of clock is "r" meters
1) From 2:00 to 2:30
Distance covered is half the perimeter
∴ Distance covered in 2:00 to 2:30 is πr meters.
Displacement covered is diameter
∴ Displacement covered in 2:00 to 2:30 is 2r meters.
Speed = distance / time = πr/30 mins = (πr / 1800) m/s
Velocity = displacement / time = 2r/30 mins = (r / 900) m/s
2) From 2:00 to 3:00
Distance covered is the perimeter
∴ Distance covered in 2:00 to 3:00 is 2πr meters.
Displacement covered is zero
∴ Displacement covered in 2:00 to 2:30 is 0 meters.
Speed = distance / time = 2πr/60 mins = (πr / 1800) m/s
Velocity = displacement / time = 0/30 mins = 0 m/s
