Hey mate here is the answer ☺️

Refractive index of object(n) = Speed of light in vaccum /speed of light in the object

So putting the values

n= 3 x 10^8/1.4 x 10^8

n= 2.142

Hope it helps you☺️✌️✌️

1) There are two laws of refraction-

i) The incident ray, the normal to surface of separation at the point of incidence and refracted ray, all lie in the same plane.

ii) For the light ray of same colour, for the given two medium, the ratio of sine of angle of incidence and sine of angle of refraction is constant.

i.e.  \bf{\dfrac{sin\:i}{sin\:r}=n_{21}(constant)}

where n₂₁ is the refractive index of the second medium with respect to first medium

2) It is given that speed of light in a given medium is 1.4×10⁸ m/s

We know that,

\sf{Refractive\:Index\:of\:Medium=\dfrac{Speed\:of\:Light\:in\:Vacuum}{Speed\:of\:Light\:in\:Medium}}

Let the refractive index of given medium be n

So,

\sf{n=\dfrac{3\times10^{8}}{1.4\times10^{8}}=2.14}

3) Diamond has the highest optical density.

4) Refractive index of a medium is defined as the ratio of speed of light in vacuum to speed of light in given medium.
