AB = 2 * CD

⇒  (AB/CD) = 2

∠AOB = ∠COD (Vertically Opposite angles)

∠DCO = ∠OAB (Alternate Angles)

So ΔAOB & ΔDOC are similar by the A.A.

Since both the triangles are similar so,

(Area of ΔAOB)/(Area of ΔDOC) = AB²/CD²

⇒ 84/Area of ΔDOC = 2²

⇒ Area of ΔDOC = 84/4

Area of ΔCOD= 21 cm²
