Let length be x+9 and breadth be x

Hence, Area, A = (x+9)(x)

if both increased by 3 cm

then, l' = x + 12 and b' = x+3

We are given, (x+12)(x+3) = (x+9)(x) + 84

solving above Eqn. x = 8

Hence, Length = 17 cm and breadth = 9 cm

Answer:-

Let the length be x + 9 and breadth be x

Hence, area = A = ( x+9)(x)

If both get increased by 3cm,

then

l = x + 2 and b = x + 3

Given (x + 12)(x + 3) = (x + 9)(x+ 84)

or x = 8

Thus

length = 17cm

breadth= 9cm
