length of both arc AB = πr = π m

length of dia AB = 2r = 2 m

resistance = 10^(-4) ohm per meter

R = 10^(-4)

so, resistance of both arc AB = πR ohm

and, resistance of dia AB = 2R ohm

since, these arc and dia are in parallel,

eq. resistance of two arc AB = πR/2 ohm

so, eq. resistance of whole system,

eq. R = {(πR/2) × 2R}/{(πR/2) + 2R)

= 2(πR × R )/(π + 4)R

= 2πR / (π + 4)

= {2 × 3.14 × 10^(-4) }/ (3.14 + 4)

= 0.88 R

= 0.88 × 10^(-4) ohm
