Let the time taken by pair of bullocks be x

and the time taken by the tractor be y

then ;

x+y= 72 ----->(1)

2x +y = 72 - 12 -----> (2)

solving 1 & 2

x= |-2| ( because time can't be negative )

so ; time taken by tractor will be 12 mins
