Answer:

Hope it helps you mate.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step .1

Convert tanx into the sinx/cosx

Step.2

Put in the equation

We got, cosx /(cosx+sinx) ………eq.(1)

Like , if there is (cosx+sinx) then multiply with the (cosx-sinx).

Here we have (cosx+sinx) so we multiply by (cosx-sinx)

$tep.3.

Now , we have the eq. As

Cosx (cosx-sinx) / cos^2 x - sin^2 x

But we know cos^2x - sin^2x = co2x

Put this value in eq.

Now eq. Is like this

(Cos^2x - sinx cosx ) / cos2x ..........Eq.(2)

Step.4

Wehavecos2x=(1+cos2x)/2

So eq. Be like this

And also 2 sinx cosx = sin2x

So. sinx.Cosx = sin2x/2

Now eq.2 is

Like [math]{[/math] ( [1+cos2x] / 2 ) - sin2x / 2 } / cos2x

=(1/2)* 1+cos2x−sin2x / cos2x

Divide the numeretor by denominator

=(1/2) * sec2x+1−tan2x
