Answer:

Simplifying

50 + 3x = x

Solving

50 + 3x = x

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-1x' to each side of the equation.

50 + 3x + -1x = x + -1x

Combine like terms: 3x + -1x = 2x

50 + 2x = x + -1x

Combine like terms: x + -1x = 0

50 + 2x = 0

Add '-50' to each side of the equation.

50 + -50 + 2x = 0 + -50

Combine like terms: 50 + -50 = 0

0 + 2x = 0 + -50

2x = 0 + -50

Combine like terms: 0 + -50 = -50

2x = -50

Divide each side by '2'.

x = -25

Simplifying

x = -25
