Answer:

tan theta = 3x - 1/12x

value of sec theta + tan theta

we know sec^2 theta - 1 = tan^2 theta

sec^2theta = tan^2 theta +1

= 9x^2 - 1/2 + 1/144x^2 + 1

= √9x^2 + 1/2 + 144x^2 = sec theta

sec theta = 3x + 1/12x

tan theta = 3x - 1/12x

3x + 1/12x + 3x - 1/12x = 6x

6x will be the value of sec theta+ tan theta
