ABCD is a quadrilateral.

where, AB=CB, AD=CD.

BD is a diagonal.

Now , in ∆ABD &∆CBD

we have,

AB=CB (given)

AD=CD (given)

BD=BD ( common)

so,

∆ABD congruent to ∆ CBD ( SSS criteria)

So,

<ABD=<CBD (CPCT)

=y+3=46°

=y=46°-3

=y=43°

similarly,

<ADB=<CDB (CPCT)

=2x+5=35°

=2x=35°-5

=2x=30°

=x=30/2

=x=15

Hence, required value of x and y is 15 and 43 respectively.
