AB=AC=13cm
Area=60
Area=1/2×base×height
put the value
60=1/2×base×13
cross multiple
60×2=13×base
120=13×base
120/13=base
9.23=base

For an isosceles triangle, midpoint (O) of base i.e BC equals the foot of perpendicular from opposite vertex i.e 'A' . So, ΔAOB is right angled

⇒OA=AB*sinα=13*sinα and OB=AB*cosα=13*cosα

⇒area=1/2*(OA*2)*OB=OA*OB=169*sinα*cosα (i.e = 60)

⇒169*sinα*cosα*2 = 120

⇒ sin(2α) = 120/169

⇒α=arcsin(120/169)*0.5 ~ 22.619 °

So, BC = 2*13*cosα = 24 cm
