I don't know about palampur. but I know that the distribution of cultivated land is unequal because some state get lot of water but some state have to depend on land.

state like Punjab ,bihar, up got water whole year

but state like rajasthan have too depend on rain water.

so distribution of cultivated land is unequal so we have to think on it if decrease the distribution of land in Indian then we are able to increase our gdq and income from agriculture sector.
