We have to convert the given sentence to indirect.

While converting to indirect,

→ The inverted commas are replaced with 'that' or in case of imperatives, with 'to'

→ 'said to' is changed to 'told', 'asked', 'ordered' etc on the basis of statement type.

Hence your answer is :-

He ordered his servant to hurry up and not waste the time.

Answer -

\textbf{Direct Speech} -

"Hurry up", He said to his Servant, " do not waste time"

\textbf{Indirect Speech} -

=> He ordered his servant to hurry up and not waste the time

Since its an order given here, Said will be replaced by "ordered"

Rules -

1. When you Convert a Direct Sentence to Indirect, the inverted commas are removed.

2. Said is replaced with the words like, told, asked, ordered, exclaimed etc.

3. "That" is added instead of the inverted commas. If it's a question, "if" or "whether" is added.

4. The Sentence Changes to Past tense.
