Therefore, the no. of the atom on the reactant side must be equal to no. of the atom on the product side to follow the law of conservation of mass.
So, the no. of the atom of Mg and O is 2 on both sides.
You have to just remember that you have to count no. of atom and the no. of the atom must be equal on both sides just count it and start equaling it.
