Pls check my answer and give marks out of 3 Question- what is the difference between glass slab and the glass prism .what happens when (1) white light and (2)monochromatic light passes through (a)glass slab and (b) prism Answer-glass slab has two rectangular surfaces with the four lateral rectangular surfaces whereas the prism has two triangular surfaces with three rectangular lateral surfaces ..thus there is a lot of difference based on the figure #When a white light is passed through the slab it bends and the lateral displacement of light is seen And , When white light is passed through the prism ,it disperses into its seven constituted colours and a spectrum is obtained #when a monochromatic light is passed through the prism it don't disperse as it is made up of one colour so no dispersion will takes place And , When monochromatic light is passed through the slab, then. The speed of the light increases more than that of white light and it bends a lot Pls check my answer and give marks out of 3 according to the cbse 2020
