It was 11 o clock in the night and he hadn't come home. He should have come back by 9 o clock. I was alone at home and suddenly the lights went off due to heavy rain. I lit up a candle because i was extremely scared of the dark. I was expecting a call from my roommate, Rahul as he had gone to attend the marriage ceremony of one of his cousins and be said his train was at 7 and he would reach by 9. I tried calling him several times but there was no reply, i hope nothing has happened to him. About 11:30, I was too sleepy and was going to sleep when the phone rang, i took up the phone hoping it was Rahul but it was not. It was those spam calls which i kept on receiving these weeks, its a full speech of a female robotic voice, but the thing is that i got a bit nervous that day.As soon as i kept the phone i heard a knock at the door. I looked out through the peek hole and saw a shadow man with a suitcase and a big hat. As much as i knew Rahul, he always uses travel bags. He kept on knocking which made me more uncomfortable. At last i took courage and opened the door with a pocket knife in my hand. I opened the door and it was Rahul. He told me that the train was delayed because of heavy rain, his things were getting wet, so he decided to get a suitcase. He asked me why i had a knife in my hand and i had to narrate the whole story and the room was filled with laughter.
