Contribution of Youth to New India- Our PM's new vision.
Digital India is the step taken by our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi that aimed at transforming the country into a digitally empowered society and a knowledge economy. With the enforcement for Digital India Initiative, India’s internet population has crossed over 465 million and our country has been experiencing rapid strides of progress with an evolving payments landscape, universal access to mobile connectivity, online Aadhar card-linking, Public Internet Access Programme, online ordering, digital jobs and many more internet innovations.
Modi said the concept of ‘New India’ is not limited to only votes as it is the strength of democracy. He said, “We have to take the country ahead with the determination of creating a 'New India'.”
The Prime minister termed the youth, who are attaining 18 years on January 1-2018, as ‘Bhagya Vidhatas’ of the nation. “1st January 2018 will not be an ordinary day- those born in this century will start turning 18. They are Bhagya Vidhatas of our nation,” he said.
Modi said everyone is equal as no one is big or small in the nation. He urged everyone to bring positive change in society and move forward while giving contribution in making of ‘New India’.
The Prime Minister said,” We need to make a nation that will free from corruption, terrorism and casteism.”
He said people must leave “Chalta hai” attitude and to adopt “Badal Sakta hai” attitude which would help in building the nation. The Prime Minister said the nation has supported GST and the role of technology has also helped it.
However, the Prime Minister’s vision of a New India build in the image of the internet age needs a different model. With the use of internet-based learning, we can make our young people productive by the age of 20 and to be able to work for perhaps 40 years. Imagine what the productivity gain of 10 years for 100 million youth can do for India—it will give us enough manpower to catapult straight ahead into the league of developed nations.
