= x⁴+x³-2x²-x³-x²+2x
= x⁴+0x³-3x²+2x
= x⁴+ax³+bx²+cx
On comparing the coefficients,
a = 0
b = -3
c = 2
so,
[[a+b-c = 0+(-3)-(2) = -5]]

now compare it with given R.H.S.
x^4 - 2x^3 -x^2 +2x = x^4 + ax^3 +bx^2 +cx
⇒a= -2
⇒b= -1
⇒c= 2
∴ a+b-c = -2 + (-1) - 2 = -5
