((3/2)*root2)^2

(3/2)*root2 * (3/2)*root2)

now as you may know that we can arrange the numbers ( which are to be multiplied anyhow we want )

(3/2) * (3/2) * root2 * root2

now root 2 * root 2 = 2

(3/2) * (3/2) * 2

3 * 3/2

9/2 is the answer
