Hi, Geotropism is basically the movement caused due to gravity ( Gravity acts as a stimulus ) The movement can be both positive and Negetive . To understand it .... you should see some examples.

For Ex : roots are always underneath the ground and in the direction of gravity, this shows positive Geotropism

The stem of plant is always facing up , opposite direction of gravity ,Thus, shows Negetive Geotropism .
