Lets take an example.

5.25 divided by 5

So first we convert it into fraction

\frac{525}{100} ÷ \frac{5}{1}

\frac{525}{100} × \frac{1}{5} = \frac{525}{500}

Now divide 500 by 525 and you get 1.05 which is the answer
