area of triangle BCD=1/2×b×h

=1/2×6×4

=12 cm²

now, area of triangle ABD= 1/2×b×h

=1/2×6×4

=12 cm²

area of parallelogram=area of triangle BCD+area of triangle ABD

=12cm²+12cm²

=24cm²
