Mean of four observation is 12 . If first , second , third and fourth observation are decreased by 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 respectively , then find the new mean.

x=48
The observation are decreased by 10
so 48-10 = 38
now, new mean ≈> 38/4 = 9.5
