Answer:

Explanation:

(a) X = NaOH

    A = Na₂ZnO₂ (Sodium Zincate)

    B = NaCl (Sodium Chloride)

    C = CH₃COONa

Reactions:

NaOH + Zn -----> Na₂ZnO₂ + H₂

NaOH + HCl -----> NaCl + H₂O

NaOH + CH₃COOH -----> CH₃COONa + H₂O

(b) Soil becomes acidic. Soil pH is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions in the soil solution. So by adding water, hydrogen ions increases.

Please let me know if you want the answer to the second part (the OR part). Would be happy to help
