according to the question, A is 19 years younger than B and C is 11 years older than B and sum of their ages is 199 years.

let the age of B be x.

therefore age if A = x - 19

and age if C = x + 11

now, sum of their ages = 199 years

→ x + (x - 19) + (x + 11) = 199 years

→ x + x - 19 + x + 11 = 199 years

→ 3x - 8 = 199 years

→ 3x = 199 + 8

→ 3x = 207 years

→ x = 207/3

→ x = 69

hence, their ages :-

• B = x = 69 years

• A = x - 19 = 69 - 19 = 50 years

• C = x + 11 = 69 + 11 = 80 years
