in the given Arithmetic Progression., there are only 3 terms,
2k + 1, 8, 3k
here 8 is the arithmetic mean of given Arithmetic progression, therefore
AM = a + b/2 where a is first term, b is last ter
8 = 2k +1 + 3k

16 = 5k + 1
16 - 1 = 5k
15 = 5k
15 = k
