let us take 17=a,12=b & 5=c,now add those i.e,a+b+c=17-12-5=0.Thus a³+b³+c³=3abc,

So 17³+(-12³)+(-5³)= 3×17×-12×-5=3060

This is done without actual multiplication and just using the formula a²+b²+c²=0,then a²+b²+c²=3abc.
