Step-by-step explanation:

If 2root3 is the equation x2+px-6=0 then it will satisfy the following equation

 {(2 \sqrt{3}) }^{2}  + p(2 \sqrt{3} ) - 6 = 0

p =  \frac{6}{2 \sqrt{3} }  =   \sqrt{3}

then

 {x}^{2}  +  \sqrt{3} x + q \: has \: equal \: roots

if a quadratic equation has zero roots then its discriminant is 0

so 3-4q=0

q=3/4

q= 0.75
