As O is the centre of the the circle.

We know that,

Any angle sustained by the centre of the circle to any other point of the circle will be half of the angle at the centre.

Therefore, angle AFC = \frac{1}{2} angle AOC

(or)

Angle AOC = 2 angle AFC.

Angle AFC = Angle BFD (opp. angles)

Quadrilateral BFDE is a kite.

Therefore, Angle BFD = Angle BED (opp. angles in a kite are always equal).

Now, Angle AEC = Angle AFC = \frac{1}{2} angle AOC.

Therefore, angle AEC+ angle AFC = angle AOC.
