If R1 is greater than R2 and the voltage across both the resistors is same then A1 < A2.

If more resistance is offered by the conductor then the current flowing through it will be lesser.

So from the question it is evident that resistance offered by R1 is greater than that of R2 so current flowing through R1 is lesser than current flowing through R2.
